Unit2 Lesson 7：China
一、教材分析：
本课是第二单元的第一课，本单元是介绍我们的祖国和一些说英语的国家。而本课主要介绍关于中国的一些情况，如语言，首都，国旗和一些著名的名胜古迹等。通过本课的学习使学生能够用英语介绍自己的祖国，并由此激发学生的爱国情感。
二、学生分析：
五年级的学生已经学习了两年英语，有了一定的语言基础。对本课的学习应该不会太陌生，但个别学困生肯定有困难，多鼓励学生大胆开口说英语，并让学生通过本课的学习，整理出一个清晰的思路，关于学习国家的知识都大概介绍一些什么，由此为后面的学习做铺垫。
三、教学目标：
1. 知识目标：学生可以听、说、读、写出单词China, map，speak；
能认读、理解并运用句型This is···
2. 能力目标：学生通过学习，能用英语简单介绍中国。能运用所学知识介绍北京的名胜。
3. 情感目标：加强对自己的祖国------中国的自豪感。培养学生的跨文化意识。
四、教学重点：本课所学单词，句型以及用英语介绍自己的祖国。
教学难点：学生能用所学知识介绍自己的祖国。
五、教学准备：教学卡片，录音机，中国地图，世界地图，教学课件。
六、教学过程：
（一）Greeting
T：Hello，boys and girls！How are you？
What does your family like to do？
We all love our family，yes？
We live China. Do you love our country, China？
So today we begin a new lesson. We are going to learn about our country—China！
（设计意图：通过讨论第一单元学过的内容自然的说出我们都爱我们的家庭，由此过渡到我们都爱我们的祖国，既引出本课标题，也激发学生的爱国情感。）
（二） New concept
1、T：Now，let’s learn some words to help us talk about our country.
Look at the map. Learn the word：map This is a map of the world.
Learn “world”
Ask some students to say the sentence：This is a map of the world.
2、出示中国地图，指着地图说：This is the map of China.
T：I live in China. You live in China. We live in China.
We speak Chinese. Say the sentence. Can you guess the meaning？
引导学生说出意思，并和前面内容连起来说一说。
（设计意图：通过看地图学习本课新单词以及句子，由世界地图过渡到中国地图，使学习循序渐进，并让学生看地图说出学完的几个句子，对所学进行巩固。）
3、Learn the “capital city”
T：Look at the map. Here is Beijing. Beijing is the capital city of
China. Can you guess the meaning of the “capital city”？
S：首都。
T：What is the capital city of China？
S:Beijing
4、出示国旗
T：This is the flag of China.让生跟读，然后提问What’s this？
找学生回答。师继续提问What colour is it？How many stars on the flag?
What colour are the stars？
最后让学生试着把刚才的回答总结起来，就是对国旗的描述。
（设计意图：用直观的方法学习首都以及国旗，学生更容易理解，并通过一些提问让学生对国旗进行全面的了解，帮助学生更好的对国旗进行描述。）
5、Practice
教师对前面的所学进行提问What’s this？Where do you live？What do you speak in China？What is the capital city of China？Talk about the flag.
找学生进行回答。然后找学生根据学过的内容试着对中国进行简单的描述。
（设计意图：让学生对前面的内容进行描述，培养学生归纳总结的能力，并锻炼口语表达能力。）
6、课件出示一些名胜古迹的图片。
T：There are many famous places in China. Do you know how to say these places in English?
看图片学习the Great Wall，the Palace Museum， Tian’anmen Square
让生看图进行描述。
（设计意图：让学生看图片进行学习，使学生印象更深刻。）
7、Pair work
师通过提问对本课进行一个小结，然后请掌握较好的学生进行展示介绍我们的祖国，最后让学生两人一组互相进行对祖国的介绍，看谁介绍的又好又全。
（设计意图：让生两人一组互相介绍，既巩固本课所学，也让学生能大胆开口说英语，因为跟同伴之间不会那么紧张，能够放开自己。）
（三）Let’s do it！
1、Look and write.根据图片进行填空，让学生注意看图，注意书写。
2、Talk more about China.
先让学生用汉语说说这都是些什么地方，然后再学习英语的读法。
（四）：Homework：
1、Introduce our country to your friend and your family.
2、Collect some other famous places in China.
